Great enrichment!
Fabulous post Elizabeth and thank you so much ~ a great study in turkey feathers!! Hugs to you all
Oh Becca, what a great idea. I loved how Jamie studied that first feather and then dropped it to the floor when done!.And of course she tried to use it as tool too! I was as fascinated watching Jamie as she was looking at her fathers. Those feathers were great enrichment for all of us!
She knew immediately that it was not edible. Amazing. She seemed to be looking around to see what the others thought of this strange thing.
New texture, animal smell, unfamiliar shape… you can just see her brain click, click, clicking, trying to figure it out. A wonderful illustration of intelligence.
I was mesmerized.
