focusing on the peaceful moments

As the video says, it’s been drama city the last two afternoons. It’s not the most fun to be around when chimpanzees are unhappy with each other, and it’s almost always impossible to know exactly what’s going on.
But, when we think about all of the hours in the day, the chimps spend most of them pretty peacefully. Maybe even more so than a lot of humans.
During these times of unease between the chimps, it’s nice to keep all of the tender, playful, and peaceful moments in mind.

Sorry to hear about the unrest, Diana. I guess they don’t know about Santa’s “naughty list”.
I could count 4 by the window, and it looked like another 4 in the huddle on the center, but there might have been 5 there.
I noticed that Jamie was sharing “her” snow and icicles, but also that Jody was watching The Boss veeeery carefully.
Which side of the house was Teal Lives of Cle Elum this week? Were tables flipped? Was there chimp slapping? Trash talk, for sure. Hope your ears are all enjoying the spunds of silent ice crunching! “Silent ice….holy ice…’
Annie and Missy. Peaceful pals. Nice seeing Negra in the snow snack party mix! I am guessing Burrito was causing a playful ruckus somewhere?
I hope these peaceful moments continue. And I am glad no one was hurt in the *non peaceful* moments.
Interesting…..the past couple of days in the courthouse have been very litigious…loud, cranky conduct, generally rude treatment toward the other parties in the proceedings…….something in the air..???
maybe our poor conduct during the week found its way to the Northwest…please accept my apologies…

Evry morning when I open my emails there is my chimpsNW blog. I look forward to reading it.
