Takin’ It Beezy

Caregivers are racing around completing chores on this rainy Monday afternoon, so today’s blog post is absurdly simple.

In honor of National Napping Day, here’s a portrait of Honey B lounging on the heated floor in one of the indoor enclosures.

Chad explained yesterday that the chimps have no concept of “daylight savings,” but they definitely know how to spend a gloomy, damp day like this one.

a good warm floor in front of a fireplace is hard to beat…….but, Honey B looks quite satisfied…………..

      I agree!

There’s a National Napping Day?! Who knew? I think Negra must have created this holiday. I also think it needs to be added as a holiday on your annual CSNW wall calendar. Happy Napping everyone, especially you, Negra.

Speaking of napping….since Honey B is always photographed looking intensely wide awake, I can’t imagine her napping but she has perfected looking quite comfy no matter where she rests.

As you often do, Kathleen, you read my mind

        🙂

It’s always the Monday after Daylight Savings Sunday! Very apt.

You’re right, Kathleen. Honey B’s daytime “naps” are more like quick bursts of nesting between all her other activites! I’ve never actually seen her close her eyes and snooze while humans are around.

One sweet and beautiful photo of a comfy serene Beezy is plenty Anthony.

Hahaha, knew it was an Anthony post!
And yet, she’s not napping….she’s staring at you….with her arms in that “relaxed hitman” position
I challenge you all to see who can be the first to get a pic of Beezus actually sleeping!

    • Avatar Paulette on March 15, 2022 at 11:05 am

yes! I challenge you too! (because I have been wanting someone to stay late and get pictures of their nests and of them sleeping)

I might have to tap into the security cameras for this! 🙂

Hey LC! I’m glad you recognized me by the title or cover photo. It’s good to know that I have a unique style, for better or for worse… 😉

I can confirm that she’s not a traditional “napper” in that she just makes a nest, lays down, and then pops back up in a few minutes. I’ve never seen her actually sleep while humans are around. We’re too darn interesting.

I look forward to the daily blog on the chimps. Love how they hold on to their feet!

That’s one of my favorite chimp behaviors too, Gretchen! They look so comfortable.
