Happy Birthday Annie!

Our dear sweet Annie turned 45 years young today! We celebrated her birthday with a sunflower theme! What could be more fitting?! Sunflowers for the girl who makes our world so beautiful and bright. We love Annie so much and it has been an honor to watch her grow more comfortable with herself and others. Let’s all give a big cheers for the most wonderfully amazing Annie!

P.S. We will have a video for you all tomorrow, but I have a few photos to share with you in the meantime.

    Sweet, sweet Annie got over the excitement, and polishes those lovely white fangs-er, teeth!- with sunflower stalks.
    Her lunch date is staring intensely out the window at….the chute? Or the tomatoes?
    It looks like she enjoyed her day!

    Thank you volunteers for providing one of the most beautiful chimpanzees in the universe with a sunny sunflower filled day! You guys are awesome.

    When I think back on Annie in her early days, I find great joy in celebrating her brave accomplishments today. Annie is inspiring, and I love her dearly. Happy birthday you beautiful girl, may happiness rain down on you always. XOXO
