Annie’s Birthday Continues!

As promised, the Annie birthday extravaganza video is here! Annie just brings so much light into our lives. When I see Annie in the mornings running around with Missy all I can do is smile, in the afternoon when she is all sprawled out in a nest making sweet bird sounds it all but makes my heart smile. And did I forget to say how fashionable she is wearing her headbands as waistbands! I mentioned yesterday watching Annie become more comfortable in her own skin, becoming more brave, and bold everyday. That is what a sanctuary is about. Annie is safe, healthy, and letting her hair down, so to speak.

This is such a particularly sweet & lovely video…I’ve watched it over & over again, & I still can’t stop smiling & literally laughing out loud…especially watching “thirsty” Mr.Burrito quickly guzzling those THREE little cups of cider he scored right off the bat…What a guy!!!!
I wonder if he burped… : )
Neggie gave him a (tiny) bit of competition for the cider, it seems….

Happy Birthday Annie! Thank you, thank you for this extra long video! It gives us time to get a good feel for how each of the 7 enjoyed themselves. Loved Burrito’s cider chugging and quick scarfing of as many tomatoes as possible, while being sure to hang on to his other treats and then wasting no time before moving on. He’s learned you gotta keep moving at these parties.. although he did take a moment to check on the new neighbours.
Neggie getting her nest ready, while clearly planning to have a wee post party nibble in bed, was the perfect way to end thvideo.
I also have to say that it appears to me as if each chimp is particularly happy on their own birthday. I have to assume that’s because of the amazing job you’re all doing as caregivers. So wonderful to know they are in the best possible home.

Happy Birthday Dreamboat Annie! Although the 3 newbies are temporarily housed separately, I was wondering if they too got a few birthday goodies to help Annie celebrate? We wouldn’t want them to be left out of a great birthday celebration! 🙂
