The chimpanzees have been making the most of the paths we made through the snow this weekend. As soon as the door to Young’s Hill was opened this morning, Foxie, Annie, Missy, and Jody set out to explore.

How I wish I could crochet these magnificent & ever so endearing Chimpanzees warm booties & mittens for their cold winters in Washington… : )
Every single one of them has captured my very heart & my very spirit in such a deep…D E E P way…

    Love to all…

I’m sure Missy wouldn’t say no to some socks! 😀

I will never get used to seeing chimpanzees in the snow! They are amazing and shows just how important it is to them to be outdoors in a weather conditions. Have you ever made a snow family for them and filled each with fruits and veggies?

That moment when I thought I couldn’t love Annie any more than I do was just surpassed. Oh dear, she is too much. And I agree with Karen. The thrill of moving about freely outside beats the disappointing reality of walking in cold snow or any inclement weather. Adventure awaits….and it’s more fun when discoveries are shared with friends!

I recall a few weeks ago when Negra was out and about on Young’s Hill. Then the snow came, and I haven’t seen her out there since. I hope, somehow, that she remembers from previous winters that the snow eventually gives way to Springtime and fresh green blades of grass for her to sit amongst and taste.

This is such a heart warming video. They are so cautious but they are not running back in….yet. I wonder how long they stayed out? Of course they can come and go which is wonderful. Thank you for shoveling them paths. That is hard work!!!
