Summer Lovin’
September 25, 2014 by Elizabeth -
Participants in our summer online auction were invited to donate toward an epic end-of-summer party for the chimpanzees, and they stepped up in a big way. Despite today’s not so summery weather here in Cle Elum, we threw the summer party to end all summer parties.

Thanks so much to everyone who contributed toward today’s party, and to everyone who helps make the chimps’ lives as happy as possible!

Looks like a good time was had by all! Those drinks sure must have been good – loved how they were licking the cups to get every drop. Thank you for posting this.
I watched it twice! I love the squeaks when they are allowed in the room. They all seemed so content. Although I didn’t see Annie in this video.
I’m sure Annie is flattered that you noted her absence, Nancy. 🙂 Rest assured, Annie partied just as hard as the others – we just didn’t get a lot of good footage of her today.
Love it! I love to listen to them crunch on the vegetables. Thank you!
What fun! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you to all the Party Planners, well done! From all the food squeaks I would say the party was a success! And I really got a laugh out of Missy munching on the big green bean!! And still more laughs with Jamie and Foxie licking out their cocktail glass! Happy to see Negra with the piñata.
I have to ask, who grabbed the drink on their way out the door? Was that Jamie?! Seems Jamie is always dashing out and first to fill her hands with a drink at the door. : )
Good eye, Kathleen! Yes, that was Jamie with the drink at the beginning of the video. She doesn’t waste any time.
Looks like a great time was had by all! The sounds of munching and slurping….love it! You did a great job!
It brought tears to my eyes to see the Chimpanzees enjoying themselves and being treated so well – as it should be. Thank you for all your hard work to bring such happiness to these wonderful creatures. I am proud to have been a part of this.
