Phillippa Kassover has sponsored today for the chimpanzees.  Phillippa first learned of the Cle Elum Seven earlier this year from the media coverage on the Taylor Bridge wildfire, and she suggested that we take today to celebrate new beginnings!  We’re running with Phillippa’s suggestion and setting up a New Year’s Eve dinner forage for the chimps in the playroom tonight.  Here’s to a happy and safe 2013!

(is that Burrito?) “Hello. My name is Burrito. I’ll be your waiter tonight.”
    Happy New Year everyone. 🙂

It has been a year of many trials for the sanctuary with the Tayol Bridge Fire. Many of the supporters had some hard times as well this year….. I for one am not going to shed a tear that it has come to an end…. Hears to a better 2013 for all.

Umph, it’s about that adorable little face , full of cuteness, charm overload and then some,,Burrito had got to be one of the many male chimps who life has ABSOLUTELY flourished,,and I continue to marvel at his PROGRESS, his new found rythm that accompanies his continued growth spurts of self confidence.
He’s learned to explore and finaly be unafraid,, wow, his confidence and self assurance truly is remarkable, AND, thanks to the continued support, encouragement and care from all the staff whom he knows
care about, and for him..Im sure he has his faves too, its only natural,,nonetheless,Burrito’s healing and development is also attributed to his chimp peers//family,I LOVE,love, love how all the chimps encourage one another, and I love how they HUG,each other when they face a new challenge ie the Young’s Hill opening day ‘an EXCELLENT
demonstration of the reassurance hugging ritual,
that is characteristic of chimp behaviours ahnd culture
,due to reading and participating by reading
    these blogs from staff
,Ive learnt this ,, as Burrito grows and develops,We fans//folks out here also learn, and increase our knowledge.
    I thank you all,
I feel blessed to be part of this blog, and thankful to
    the Cle Elum Seven ..
