Food is serious business to Burrito Chimpanzee and today he was seeing green. It’s been an unseasonably warm day today, so the greenhouse was a luxurious 60 degrees or so. We set up a huge lunch forage out there– I think Burrito was very happy with this decision.

When you provide a head of lettuce as you did today, how many do you provide to the group as a whole?

Today, there were about 7 or 8 heads of romaine, with one or two ripped up into individual leaves. As far as how many we put out regularly, it depends on how many we have and how much other produce is offered. We try to offer as much variety as possible.

I don’t think he could look any happier. Such a charming and contented lad.

I would love to send over a box of salal and huckleberry greens from my yard….do you think they would like it?

Not sure if they’ve ever had salal, but we could definitely give it a try. And they love huckleberries. 🙂

The tender way burritto is holding the lettuce in the first picture shows how much burrito loves his food.

It’s so great to see how super healthy Mr.B is these days. What a l-o-n-g way our “7” have come in almost 3 years.
