Yesterday was hot, hot, hot here in Cle Elum, so the chimps spent quite a bit of time lounging around their indoor playroom. As you can see, Jamie is still rarely caught without a pair of cowboy boots (notice she has one by her head and another in her hip pocket).

Jamie looks ‘marvelous’ even in this heat… she sure puts me to shame!!!
I can’t believe the red, white and blue boots have lasted this long. There’s nothing like cool concrete on a hot summer day.
Chimp Haven, in Louisiana, use misters to keep their chimps cool.
I think for the chimps to be able to do what they want is the best thing of all! Chillin out included!
Wise move staying in the shade.We have woke up to another hot day here as well but I can’t find my cowboy boots,so I’m not going to be able to stay cool like Jamie.Summer Loungin’ what a great way to spend the day.Just received our Sanctuary:Year One book and it has some amazing photos.Can,t wait to start reading it.

The Sanctuary: Year One has one of my favourite photos in that I found in the Archive section. Its the one with Jamie and her blue crocheted hat on,Now that’s always going to make me smile.
