Wanna make Jamie’s day? Give her some cowboy boots!
Some of our blog readers recently came up with an idea for us to highlight specific items for people to donate. It’s called “Chimps’ Choice”. This month, in honor of her new fascination, we would like to call on our blog readers to donate cowboy boots for Jamie. Not only will you make Jamie’s day, but if you do so within the next month, we will send you a photo of Jamie as a thank you!
As our regular followers most likely know, Jamie cannot seem to get enough cowboy boots! It all started last Halloween/Jamie’s Birthday, when volunteer Stephanie P. brought a pair she found at a Goodwill. She absolutely LOVED them and carried them around all the time, until they finally fell apart. Since then, she’s received a few other pairs and it’s beginning to become apparent to me that her excitement builds a little more with each pair. She got another new pair at the party on Sunday, thus it only seems fitting that more boots would be this month’s “Chimps’ Choice” item! We also put out more of the pink paper, which resulted in an EPIC-sized nest! 🙂

We’re going to need more paper to go along with those boots.
What a beautiful nest!!! I noticed that she attached a piece of paper to the handrail. So Amazing..
I watched it twice and finally figured out exactly what she was doing……………….she wasn’t just “nesting”, she was actually building her very own walk-in closet for those boots!!! Never tire of watching her be creative!!
I love all the details Jamie pays attention to. She was so excited to find a boot in the backpack. You could feel the excitement bubbling over! I think Jamie is finally realizing Foxie has something going on with all the trolls and needs to start catching up collecting boots! Whatever the reason, you go girl!!!
Can you give us an estimate of what size her foot will fit into?
Love it! Jamie is just amazing to watch and her excitement is infectious. I would love to know how wide her foot is so I can get her a pair of boots that might actually fit!
I can’t wait to go to Goodwill and see what I can find.
Chimp’s feet are so different from ours….with that darn opposible toe. Let’s find a shoe-maker who will adapt some boots!!!
It’s hard to say how wide her feet are… I would say the larger the boots, the better! Though if I had to guess, I’d say Jamie’s not too picky! 🙂
Do they have to be specifically cowboy boots? How about a pair of leather Victorian boots – they do have laces though (and some kitty claw marks as well…)
