Rayne: Supportive Queen

We have talked quite a bit about issues that arise when shifting the chimps around in their areas, but recently I had to delay shifting because Honey B was busy entertaining herself out on the Bray, what unfolded over the 30 or so minutes that followed very much made the delay worth it. As the song goes. “that’s what friends are for. ” it makes me sad to think of chimps by themselves. Thank goodness for places like CSNW, full of love, kindness and friends.

I had this feeling that Honey B really wanted to travel along the firehose and she was inspecting them to test each one for support strength. Even working her way down and testing the lower hose. I could see her wheels turning in the wickedly intelligent mind of hers. Some day soon we’re going to see Honey B conquer the hose. (Clearly she’s been observing Jamie and Missy!)
It is heartwarming to see Rayne out there, keeping an eye on Honey B, enticing her to venture out a wee bit further. Keep up the good work Rayne. Soon Honey B will surprise us all.
I could hear her thinking, “this is too slack. can’t do yoga poses on this one. Can’t sit on it.”
The way Honey B was inspecting that firehose… I don’t think it will be long before she’s tightrope walking like her momma Missy.
I love how supportive Rayne is. Looking out for her half-sister Honey B. Rayne is such a great friend to have!
