A Moment with Gordo

Today has been a very busy day here in the chimp house, so I am here with a photo blog from today’s lunch forage! It’s been a bit of a rainy fall day here, but the rain came later in the afternoon so we were able to do lunch forages for both groups. I took the camera out to see what everyone was up to and boy, was Gordo ready for a close-up!
Also- a reminder that one of our favorite holidays is right around the corner, Jamie-ween! We have some new boots for her up on our Amazon wish-list, because what better way to celebrate than a new pair of boots? 🙂

Oh, my word Gordo is sooo handsome; in fact he could grace a photo shoot for the calendar! Very photogenic, but I must say that Lucky looks pretty hot as well. Thanks for sharing a special moment in your very busy day.
:heart_eyes:Every photo of Gordo is my favorite. He certainly is enjoying his forage! Love it when he looks directly into the camera. And Lucky must have Spring fever because she’s sporting her waistband in true CSNW style.
Oh, how I miss those guys!! I was a volunteer when the chimps arrived at Wildlife Waystation and was on the enrichment team. It was a really great experience and I loved every minute…..even when I got doused with a mouthful of water!!

Hi Julie! You must be bursting with joy and pride seeing your friends find their way in their new expensive home. Thank you for all you did to keep them safe, happy and enriched while they were under your care. Yes please, feel free to share a favorite story or two anytime! It would be wonderful to hear about their days back at WW. It’s always fun seeing the chimpanzees through others eyes.
