Woohoo! Missy Chimpanzee is turning 49 today! And we’re sending our heartfelt thanks to Marcie Milam, a long-time friend and supporter of the chimpanzees and bovines, for sponsoring this extra special day of sanctuary and celebration!:

Sending a heart full of loving Happy Birthday wishes to Missy chimpanzee!! She was the first person who caught my eye and it was her past story, her athleticism, and her friendship with Annie that deeply endeared her to me.

I have to add how thrilling it is, even now, to see that photo of Missy sitting high up in the trees! She looks so small for such huge moment!
