Happy Birthday Dora!

Today Dora turned 35 with her friends by her side! Staff and volunteers crafted a lovely forage of avocado “toast” (aka primate chow dust mixed with banana) and berry sorbet. The wild yellow roses that grow on the property made for beautiful and delicious garnishes.
On the other side of the building, Jamie’s group enjoyed a similar party.

Kudos to the creative kitchen staff! You always have fun ideas! Those yellow roses make me nostalgic for my grandmother’s wild rose bush. They were so pretty.

I just aDora our birthday girl. Maybe not as much as Maeve, of course, who was treating her bestie to a birthday grooming, but, trust me, a phone call between my friend Becky and me seldom transpires without us indulging in our oral fan fiction concerning the continuing adventures of Mora. In real life, though, I wish Dora a happy new year of living and, I hope, the gifts of courage and curiosity to check out the scenery on the Bray.

As always, the caterers did an excellent job! Avocado toast! Brilliant creating a custom chimp version. The yellow roses were beautiful. Looked as if Queen Negra had a dozen all to herself. Score one for Negra!! (She must be preparing for her upcoming birthday.) Wonderful seeing everyone enjoying this special day.
