Effortless Rayne
May 8, 2024 by Anna -
Lately we’ve been doing lots of lunch forages for Cy’s big group. We often spread the food out between a playroom, greenhouse, the front rooms and the Bray so everyone can access it fairly. Rayne seems to reliably skip the more competitive hustle and bustle of the indoor areas and head out onto the Bray for her lunch. This afternoon she did just that, going out to the Bray, grabbing a head of radicchio and enjoying her simple lunch while she took in the views of the river valley below.
One final note before I go! Today is the LAST day of Give Big 2024. We are just over half way to our goal of raising $50,000 towards the direct care of the chimpanzees we all love so much. Thank you to all who have already contributed and be sure to donate before the fundraiser ends tonight!

That’s a light lunch, Raynie!
She’s gotta keep her girlish figure, don’tcha know?…
It still brings me joy to remember the way Rayne took to the Bray right from the start. Independently no less! She always appears to be so comfortable, confident, totally content as she explores her backyard. Thank you for giving Rayne this opportunity, this new wondrous life.
A beautiful day with a beautiful Raynee! All the more so as the greatest inspirator ever for everyone who loves animals and nature films has just turned 98! I hope he’ll stay with us in good health for many more coming years. Happy birthday, dear Sir David Attenborough!:ant::turtle::penguin::dolphin::elephant:?:sauropod::mushroom::rose:
Whose most recent narration was heard on the video describing the annual pilgrimage of the rare and elusive pan Hibernatus as she emerges from her state of prolonged torpor.
