Today was pretty low key. The chimps seemed to be recovering from all the festivities, I think we can all relate to that! Please enjoy a few photos of the chimps having a nice lazy day.

Honey B eating brussels sprouts….and your soul!
Well, as I forgot to mention the other day when I sponsored a day for the Sanctuary, the residents are just so beautiful, as these photographs attest. Sweet dreams to you, Rayne Louise.
And is that a play face on Cy? Or, is he merely sharing some salacious gossip (Is Taylor Swift going to set aside her singing career to be her boyfriend’s personal cheerleader?) that he learned from one of his celebrity magazines?
Oh, what sleepy heads, especially Rayne.I know that feeling after having celebrateed a tad too much! Still, it’s good that the chimps are stoking up their energies for the next round of jollifications. New Year’s Eve is just round the corner so relax and chill out.
Kelsi, this reminds me that I had a question the other day….have the chimps ever tried stuffing/dressing? or cornbread? I feel like they would enjoy both :laughing:
Gordo is SO handsome. I got Jamie the bonobo book for Christmas. I’m so glad she’s enjoying it!
Excellent snapshots from the day. I feel relaxed just looking at them! Love Cy’s expression with his droopy bottom lip. What a magnificent group of characters. And yes, Gordo is handsome. There is something soft but twinkly in his eyes that always makes him look so sweet and kind.

Honey B sure loves Brussels sprouts, doesn’t she? I love how she keeps eye contact in pretty much every photo of her out there.
Also, I feel like cute, handsome Gordo really resembles his half-sister, Dora, in those photos! Particularly the top ones. It’s the big, round eyes. They’re both super cute.
I roasted brussel sprouts tonight and thought of Honey B and low and behold there she was eating some today. I suspect mine were a little tastier, probably not to Honey’s liking though.
One of the side dishes I cooked for Christmas day and then delivered the excess to a local family, was Brussels Sprouts and Carrots with Sautéed Pecans and thinly-sliced Parmesan. BEST ever!

I recently learned my new favorite word… Hurkle Durkle! An old scottish term for staying in bed long after its time to get up!!! Looks like they mastered it!!
