Snow on the Cascade peaks means that winter is on its way to the sanctuary. Until then, we will continue enjoying lunch with a view on these beautiful fall days.

Somehow I knew by Bubba’s run up the hill that he was having his fun with you again, JB!

I always marvel at that fact that Foxie and Annie, the two lowest on the chain and the most,…um, “highly reactive”, are also two of the most intrepid, especially when it comes to climbing! They’re not giving up their adventure pants just yet! I wish Foxie had been eating more, too!

Thank you, J.B. — that was so peaceful. If I had spectacular views like that, and structures that offered a Birds Eye view of the mountains and expansive scenery, I’d be out there all bundled up with a grab bag of goodies and a hot cup of coffee! Looks like such a beautiful day.

Loved seeing how they chose to dine al fresco.

What a beautiful sunny blue sky with the snow capped Cascades. I’m so happy they had a choice of lunch, inside or out

So HAPPY to see Foxie Out Among the Group:hugging: I think with your Snow Falls…… it’s time to think about sending Christmas Gifts out the First week of December…….I hope Winter Snowfalls are not as bad as anticipated this year:pray:

Isn’t it great that the chimps have a choice to do what they want to do on their lunch break?

Welcome to paradise with the chimps and Pacific North West landscape in all its wintry glory. Do the chimps live in their present moments I wonder. What are Annie, Foxie and the gang thinking as they eat their alfresco snacks. Whatever their thoughts they sure are having fun in this video with full tummies, peace and contentment. Thanks so much for sharing this with your very faithful followers.

    What a VIEW!

Wait…Foxie without a doll? What, “then will Father Christmas also die, too”? 😀 (Just a little Dickens to celebrate the upcoming Christmas season.)

    Cheers.

    I just had another question.

Do the chimps ever go, “Aw, crap, nuts AGAIN?!” Have you ever had one of them refuse to eat something you set out before them at a meal because they maybe wanted something else instead? If so, what behaviour did they display? Did they turn away from it, display, stomp their feet, or steal from another chimp that thing they want? I don’t believe I’ve ever seen this from any of your chimps, but I suppose it could have happened at least once.

    Thanks, Jeeb.

I’ve seen them shake rheir head abd reuse sonething, particularly when the next course is one if their favs. But I thi nk they all like nuts because of the far content (keeps them full)

        ugh. phone. fat content

      • Carla René on November 28, 2023 at 10:09 am

Well, I didn’t mean “nuts” per se, just anything being served at mealtime they just didn’t feel like eating that day.

Oh yes, all the time. They all have their own ways of telling us they don’t want a particular food. Missy will just stare silently at the food she wants instead. Burrito will offer his head to be tickled with the food. Jamie will drop the food back on our side of the mesh. Negra will turn away and then get mad if you keep offering it. Rayne will look as us as if the thing we are offering isn’t even food.
