Never a Dull Moment

I don’t think I have ever experienced a dull day here at CSNW. I truly don’t believe that there is such a thing with chimps. Especially when you have a chimp like Honey B always keeping you on your toes, or a chimp like Missy who seems to want nothing to do with humans, but all of the sudden you are playing chase and tug-a-war. Or when you put out enrichment, like a giant box, just hoping a chimp like Cy will hide in it while his friend Willy B playfully beats the box from the outside. Everyday there a lot of things happening here, even when we are there to observe. I think it is a testament to what sanctuaries like Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest can do. Sanctuaries offer dedicated care, security, stability, and opportunities so that every chimp can flourish and grow.

Oh, Kelsi, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a playface on Missy when playing with humans! I think she was enjoying you stretching her right hamstring for her–I kept expecting her to move it to the left foot!
Love to see Cy and Willy B bring back their beat boxing game!

Me too, Linda, but I changed the box from ‘general public’ to donor and it went through OK. Worth doing, to support our wonderful friends…..humans, chimpy people and bovines…..after all, we know they’re all the BEST!

I submitted a good review. After dining with Honey B, listening to Willy’s drum solo, and seeing Missy’s beautiful play face, it was least that I could do.
Well, I posted a review. Didn’t get any responses as a couple of you have mentioned. Maybe I left too fast? Went back to check, under my page it says no reviews posted. I hope it went through.
Look at Missy, totally enjoying her personal physical therapy band work! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her laughing so much with a human. She’s very funny. And what was that lip curl all about at about 1:16 into the play session? I love the way the chimps always surprise me.
Willy B and Cy playing box bongo is priceless. Especially Cy at the end, and the final shot of Willy B’s feet following. Love!
We should all enjoy every bite of food the way Honey B does. Life is good!

Speaking of residents, what a great video! It really makes me happy to see Missy enjoying some play with her caregivers. Of course, Cy and Willie B enjoying some silliness is also just so great! And Honey B! I could watch her eat forever. I love her concept (or lack thereof) of personal space. She really likes to get up close and personal with the camera.
Challenge accepted and done!!
