Lilacs are a favorite of mine. This was a beautiful video to get back to happier times. Jody watched her family enjoying the fruits of spring.:revolving_hearts::rainbow:
Lilacs are my favorite flowers. It is heartbreakingly sweet that you will be planting them in Jody’s honor. On her behalf, thank you.
This is another lovely tribute to Jody :revolving_hearts:
Thank you.
Lilacs have always been a favorite or mine. Even more so knowing they were a favorite of Jody’s. May the lilacs to be planted in her honor have a long and fragrant life. and provide good browse for now and future residents of the sanctuary.
Was thinking abut Jody. Was she buried at the sanctuary with a gravestone?
It’s only been a week. I believe they said they sent her to the university for necropsy. Probably hasn’t been completed yet
They have said she will be returned to the sanctuary
Thank you again to Lisa, volunteer extraordinaire!
The bushes seem like an absolutely wonderful idea, Diana. I hope the chimps allow them to grow!
What a lovely celebration of life for Jody with her favorite flowers in bloom.
Especially since they bloom on Mother’s Day
Hard to beat a lilac forage!! I am so happy to see everyone enjoying their lilacs, well everyone but Foxie. I didn’t realize they were not on her Top Ten list. This video was so uplifting! Thank you.
And I was just preparing a letter to you Diana suggesting maybe we could plant lilacs in Jody’s memory. How exciting for the chimps to be able to watch them bloom and grow.
The lilacs are a wonderful tribute to Jody and that they’re blooming now is, too. All my thoughts are jumbled and I can only say that I missed seeing her doing her own foraging and nibbling but I know she would want her family to be happily indulging on her behalf. Blessings to all as we continue to move on in our own ways. Still very sad…
This made my heart happy. thanks to all of you for taking such good care of our fellow creatures.
Beautiful Diana… still tears falling as we, world wide, watch each day’s tribute and each person’s way of presenting their thoughts, grief and love. In this case the lack of words, the lack of need for a lot of words, says it all. Tears will keep falling – both heartbreaking and heart warming. The lilacs will bloom each year for us all. Cheers to Jo who watches it from a new perspective and will always be with us. Hugs.
