Today’s forecast called for rain but it held off long enough to sneak in a quick breakfast forage for the Seven. Carrots, beets, Swiss chard, and potatoes were scattered across the hill.

At lunch, the chimps enjoyed hard-boiled eggs with their veggies.

I shifted the Seven this morning so I didn’t get quite as many photos of the forage on the other side of the building, but we managed to snap a few.

    Thanks, JB!
I was wondering if the Californians enjoyed eggs as much as the seven. Seems as though they do.
Thanks to Anna and her chickens for the Easter treats!

I hope Cy did not eat the eggshells, or did he? Do they chimps eat the shells? They seem to know to peel the shells off the egg.

It looks like they can peel hard boiled eggs better than I do!

So totally adorbs. Do you know if the chimps will hunt easter eggs, or do you just have to hide food without the plastic egg?

I am happy the gang had the opportunity to squeeze in an Easter forage out on the hill before the rain came. Looks like everyone had their hands full of goodies, well, everyone but Jody…..where was farmer Jo?! I am also happy to see Easter eggs being enjoyed on both sides of the sanctuary. What a treat!!

Thanks for the photos. Hope you all had a festive day from start to finish.

I checked on YT for primate Easter Egg Hunts, hoping to catch theirs, but to no avail. Did not see any sanctuaries, or even zoos, hosting annual egg hunts this year. Happy to see they got their eggs one way or another.?:tone4:
