The Life (and death) of a Stuffed Toy at a Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Burrito playing with giant stuffed toys seriously never gets old. The sanctuary staff recently went through First Aid/CPR training as a team and watching this video made me pretty impressed with his chest compressions.

Speaking of stuffed toys, you might notice that Baby Yoda Squishmallow in the video needs a little first aid himself. We actually got him wayyy back at Christmas time during our Comfort and Joy online auction. He was a donation from Linda McFall-Bailey. It’s seriously impressive that he’s made it this long and continues to provide the charming Mr. B with continued joy and enrichment.

Hmm…well, it looks as if Burrito has the cycle of 15 chest compressions down, but he might want to practice his mouth-to-mouth resuscitation technique.

Chest compressions-good. Chest compressions resulting in concussion and loss of stuffing…not so good.
However, I am not ready to blame Burrito for the loss of stuffing. could it have been one of the ladies who removed his insides? if not, then we have an answer to our murder mystery, and we have identified the serial stuffy killer!

On another note, I am happy to see that he is beginning to use them for nesting

    If feel for:

    1.) The stuffed animals
2.) The caregivers who have to clean up afterward

But Burrito is certainly having a good time of it!

Is Burrito up to date on CPR class? Remember, the chest compressions are to the beat of :musical_note:AH, AH, AH, AH, stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive :musical_note: Well, Burrito. this stuffed toy ain’t.

Official Toy Inspector Mr B giving his full throttle Burritoizing treatment!

I’m surprised he didn’t need CPR after that workout. Whew!
