Silly Burrito Chimpanzee

Burrito Chimpanzee was extra silly today! Wherever we looked Burrito was engaged in play by himself, with his chimp friends, or with his caregivers and chimp house volunteers.

On the video, Burrito can be seen playing with a giant Kong. This is one of Burrito’s favorite enrichment items and thanks to one of our wonderful donors, Anne M., his group will be getting more! This item was featured on our Comfort & Joy Auction that had items for humans and items for the chimps available and we are very grateful for everyone that participated on the most exciting bidding war we’ve had in a while!

I still think he’d love a hippity hop!
Those lefty toes never stop tapping!
Sofía, do you guys ever worry, when you see him spin on that narrow window ledge, that he’ll fall!? My heart was on my mouth!

That was supposed to be “in my mouth”

I love Burrito’s life quote at the start of the video. Mr. B might be a silly fellow but he is wise when comes to teaching us what’s important in life. He is a joy seeking missile! And he seeks and spreads joy in equal amounts.

Burrito is my role model for the importance of play under all circumstances, including being able to entertain oneself in any moment. What a guy! He has an old spirit and a young heart (despite his heart issues). Thanks, Sofia, for this posting today!!

In the Kong segment, i saw what appears to be a JACK SKELLINGTON BLACK AND WHITE BLANKET. I have that same one right now on my bed too! Now, I will be thinking of BURRITO, and all the other chimps in my dreams!
