A Playful, Thankful Tuesday
October 11, 2022 by Chad -
As Giving Day for Apes continues to be underway, we just wanted to say thank you to those who have donated thus far on this day of days fundraiser! And what better way than a video full of play!
You donations will help enrich their lives!
Your donations will help ensure the chimpanzees will never go hungry!
Your donations will help us complete the expansion of Young’s Hill and the completion of The Bray!
But overall, your donations will help them live the best lives that they can!

Thank you all for helping us provide this to them! There is still time to donate during this campaign. Giving Day for Apes ends at 11:59PM EST (8:59PM PST)! You can donate through our page by clicking here!

Thank you, Chad!
Neggie’s arm/shoulder hair looks as though she just woke up!
The video! Mave and Terry, the floof twins, and Gordito’s bunny hops! I love it!
I noticed Honey B being groomed by 2 (saw the video a couple of hours ago, when it went up). Does she ever groom back?
Hi Linda!
Honey B does groom back. Outside of Willy B and Mave, we have seen her groom Rayne, Dora, and Terry! That’s not to say she doesn’t groom Cy, Lucky, or Gordo. We just haven’t seen it yet to confirm it. She could be grooming them while we weren’t looking.
And that was Terry bunny hopping! The hopping seems to be spreading. ?
Thank you Chad for the joyful looks& jumping for joy day of the chimpanzee’s. Hope you all had a successful day too.
Throw another blanket on Negra’s nest!
Love them all so much! I wish I could donate to all the Ape rescues. I had no idea there are so many. Thank you! Thank you to all who help enrich their lives:heart::heart:
thank you Chad
beautiful blog and beautiful Sanctuary.
There’s no doubt in my mind, the gang knew it was Giving Day for Apes and people all over the earth were celebrating and supporting their favorite primate sanctuaries. Who wouldn’t hop for joy over that?! And from the looks of the overall tally, $938,567 raised by 4,307 donors–WOW! What a successful day it was!! And you can still give.
Chad, what a great video. Willy B seems to be back in the fold and having a blast. The joys of sanctuary are too many to count. Seeing is believing.
It was truly an amazing day!
Yes, photos are all great. My favorite is of Cy and Raine reading. I’d almost frame that one. And, yes, Cy is very handsome.
I wish I could afford to give more to CSNW and all of my animal passions. This year I did give a bit to CASA after they sent an email picturing the hurricane devastation there. My heart went out to the residents and their probable terror as wind and rain tried to destroy their home. I’ve had an acute sensitivity to what they experience ever since the wicked fire caused such devastation after tourists thoughtlessly dropped lighted holiday candles. I don’t remember where or when, but I do remember gorillas dying in the fire and my heart breaking to think of it.
But, now THIS is Giving Day for APES! Wonderful, wonderful animals whom we here honor.
Hi Maureen! That is a terribly sad story about the gorillas. And we couldn’t be more grateful for your support and glad you donated to CGA! They have endured a lot with Hurricane Ian!
I am so glad I could make a donation for the Chimpanzees very special day!!
Thank you so much, Susan!
i was happy to donate on Giving Day to all your wonderful work. Thanks for Chad’s lovely video. i saw Cy with his magazines and several of my other favorites. But i didnt see Foxie. Is she still at ChimpsNW?
She is! Read today’s blog!
Hi Gaynell! Thank you so much for choosing to donate to us on Giving Day For Apes! We, humans, chimps, and cattle, truly appreciate it! And yes! As Linda mentioned, Foxie is still here! She just wasn’t in the mood to have her photo taken yesterday. That was her choice so I decided to honor her choice.
