Missy had such an amazing birthday party yesterday! Because we had so much to cover for her party we weren’t able to share what happen over on Dora’s side of the building! They also had a lunch forage to celebrate Missy. Please enjoy the video and photos from yesterday!

I know you grt a lot of produce from outside the sanctuary, but I’d love to see the veggies and flowers in your garden. Any chance of a little garden video tour?
I know it is a lot of work to set up the parties and forages but it has to be so much fun to watch them step into the area that has been “stocked” and see what happens! I love how certain Chimps have their favorite foods, don’t we all? Mave is such a beauty, taking a rest but taking it all in at the same time. Thank you!!! Love these videos of the amazing Chimps.
I didn’t see anyone on this side harvesting the sunflowers. Do they like them?
Also, for future….I showed someone Foxie’s birthday video, where she tucked her dolls of choice into her pelvic pocket, and they remarked on it.
Thinking about it, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen video of them carrying things in that pocket. Can they carry things for a distance in that pocket? Or is it more for when they are lazing about? Also, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one of the males use that pocket. Do they?

A fun time was had by all in honor of Missy. But it appears the gang of nine are not big fans of tomatoes? Peppers, chow, and green onions were a hit but everyone ran in and no one grabbed up a tomato. Too funny. Great video and soundtrack! Gordo munching on his green onions was the perfect happy ending.
Ive often thought how nice it is that they enjoy their chow so much! especially with all the other great yummy foods they are offered!
