This video brings to mind the lyrics of an old Randy Newman song, “Simon Smith and his Amazing Dancing Bear.” “Oh who would think that a boy and bear, would be well accepted everywhere?”
Even so — at risk of being morbid — why do I suspect that Burrito’s plush friend’s days are (rather) numbered?…
I agree Tobin! I saw the stuffing coming out of the bears back and thought we were going to be ending the clip with a murder scene
LOL! I can just see it now. JB and Diana will have to teach every chimp to lie perfectly still on the floor while they string stuffing and bear schrapnel all over. Then it’s up to the folks who read the blog to solve the mystery of who did the moider.
Now THAT is morbid. 😀
I thought exactly that same thought. Their silliness and enjoyment is apparent, but boy are they strong!
Well, now that was a delightful few moments of fun to watch! Thank you, Anna, for sharing this with us. What a charmer that Bubba is! There’s such an innocence about him with his always-eager face.
Burrito is the supreme King of Playtime. Whether it’s playing by himself, with his chimpanzee friends or his caregivers, he’s into it. I’m sure he enjoyed it far more than the poor bear….RIP Teddy!
In a way this is sooooo sweet, but at the same time, it makes me sad that he’s so disconnected from being a chimp in the wild that this guy is his friend. He’ll always be mah boyfran.

I so wish I knew what was going thru Burrito’s head when he is smacking the poor bear in the head!

That was a great videa. It reminded me of Foxie and her dolls. Especially toward the end when he was trying to carry the bear on his back. Big Burrito, little Foxie; Big Bear, Little Doll. How sweet!

ha! He can be “mah boyfran” and my one true love valentine all at the same time. Share the love! His play face while pouncing on that bear was hysterical! “don’t just lay there! come on man!” Loved his little somersaults. Fun video. Soooo glad you captured it. he is just such a joy.
I couldn’t resist! I would put a smiley face here but it always turns into a question mark. My Valentine is either Gordo or Cy. I’m torn. The bookworm sort of tugs at the old heartstrings.

That. Was. THE. Best! I haven’t seen Burrito with a big stuffed animal in such a long time I’d almost forgotten what fun he has when he has one to “play” with. And I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen Burrito do a somersault before and here he is doing multiple somersaults — 4.25 total I believe! That pink bear makes the perfect squishy soft surface for such a silly activity. And Missy is so cute with her little teasing feet. And what a perfect ending, Burritp tossing pink bear over his shoulder to carry on his back for transport. All of this done with a toy in his mouth. Burrito’s signature move.

Burrito is hysterical with his bear! This is such a happy video. Well maybe not for the bear lol but Burrito is simply adorable.
