Thanks, Chad! I just came across a mention of field roast and was thinking that it had been some time since I’d seen the chimps with it.
And who wouldn’t love a baby pineapple!?
Did the 6 seem to like their cooked dinner?
I hope you all had a great Friendsgiving last night, and an even better Thanksgiving today!

Oh, li’l Dora was not going to lose one drop of that sweet pineapple juice!

How quickly they recognize their prized foods! Jo was on a field roast and roll mission!
I saw Neggie was the last one out. I hope she got at least one or two rolls.
You cut the rolls in half. Even with that, how nany do you have to buy for them, Chad?

Well, she has already lost so many….you háve to care for the few that are left….

I hear you LOL. But I hope they answer my question. I’ve never seen it in any photos or videos from any sanctuary so I’m truly wondering do they brush their teeth? I know they are wicked smart and could certainly learn to if they were shown.

I think in a really old one, Paulette, they showed Jamie brushing hers

Two words : Field Roast and Hawaiian Rolls! Oh Yea! Where was Negra because I know how much she loves her rolls. Chad, once again you out did yourself. You blew my mind serving mini pineapples! It’s as if they were grown specifically with the chimpanzees in mind. No more worries about who will win the star pineapple or pineapple top. This way everyone gets a juicy little fruit all to themselves. Such fun to see everybody slurping down the sweet juices (Dora!).

I have to add how much I loved Cy’s expression upon seeing the dinner tray walk past him. Almost as if he was saying “Oooooooh”. Watching each group grab N’ go with their field roast, rolls and sparkling cider and then sit quietly to enjoy their juicy little pineapples brought home the meaning of thankful. Same goes for the Moo’s feast.

Happy National Day of Giving Thanks. I give thanks for each and everyone of you.

I agree with the previous statements and sentiments inscribed above. I am always so grateful to Anna. Anthony, Chad, Diana, Dr. Erin, J.B., Dr. Jen, Katelyn, Kelsi, Sam, Sofia, and all volunteers and sponsors and supporters of this Sanctuary past and present (thank you, once again, to Keith LaChappelle and his generosity and vision). I can never thank all of you enough for the wise and compassionate care which you provide to Abbey, Annie, the Barn Kitty, Benny, Betsy, Burrito, Foxie, Honey, Honey Beezie, Jamie, Jody, LouLou, Mave, Meredith, Missy, Negra, Nutmeg, Willy B, and the life and love which you provided to Wilson. Those lovely food barks speak volumes (Turned up to “11” as they bounce off the walls of the chimp houses).

    With deep gratitude, always.

What a wonderful celebration! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! Loved hearing them express themselves! Do you folks talk to them all day, like I talk to my dogs all the time?

it was a wet and chilly day in southeast Texas…BUT, good food and fellowship makes up for any shortcomings…..
I still think about those remaining in the Wildlife Waystation facility…they deserve better……

I always enjoy watching party videos and this one did not disappoint. Clearly the Hawaiian rolls were a big hit (I love ;em too), Someone should compile a video of all the ocassions through the years when their roll were snapped up before anything else and send it to Kings Hawaiian Rolls. Maybe they would send you a big supply for the Christmas Party.
