Eric Dodge, a long-time friend of the original seven chimpanzees, sponsored a day of sanctuary for them and all their animal neighbors! It also happens to be one of the ways in which Eric chose to celebrate his birthday and he shared this really lovely message about his gift:

“In honor of all the animal residents of the sanctuary. To honor how much our animal companions, be they pets, livestock, chimps or any other wild animal in residence at CSNW teach us. Not only about them, but about ourselves and humanity. It’s my birthday also.”
