Burrito Update

We just wanted let you know that Burrito remained stable overnight and he is resting comfortably this morning. We expect his recovery to be a slow, gradual process and there may be complications along the way, but for now we are cautiously optimistic.

Hi Caroline – Yes, he’s sleeping pretty soundly but we’ll sleep each night just outside his enclosure until he gets through this critical period.

Thanks for the quick update, I was quite worried since last night, and I saw the update this afternoon and was grateful Burrito is doing well. I can only imagine the quick response necessary in this emergency, but you did it, you got everyone inside safely, and got Burrito the care he needed. Well done! That’s why we are all grateful that you are entrusted with these precious chimps, and why you deserve to be entrusted with more. I’m sure Bubba knows he’s in good hands.

Hi Tom – It was by the platform closest to the building, about 75 feet from the greenhouse.
