The Saga of Willy B, Part II

Last month Anthony wrote this detailed blog about the Saga of Willy B. It was a truly well written tale, packed full of suspense. As many things in real life, Willy B’s story lacked a proper happy ending. Well we don’t always get what we want in the world of chimpanzees, but this week we did get a little taste of that sweet satisfying closure.

Well, Willy my man, there’s more than one way around the problem!
Don’t worry, you’ll be bracchiating in no time! I seem to remember another young chimpanzee man who had trouble with it at first, and he’s doing just fine now! All in good time!
He’s enjoying this new adventure and making such good progress, thanks for the update….??
Way to go Willy B (that’s “B” for Brilliant!). And look how steady he is on his second attempt. I agree with Linda C, Willy B will be bracchiating in no time and taking long naps in the hammock!
He must be getting stronger as well as braver. I wonder what he tells his housemates. I wonder if he says “you must try coming out with me” or does he tell them “stay inside only the brave can go where I go”.
well, when he gets the first piece of fruit and almost falls, but then has to hoist himself back up onto the platform (’cause, you know, grass is lava), that in itself takes some tremendous ab strength!
I got defeated just watching him!
Firstly, can I please say a huge, mega, mashoosive thank you for all your love, care and compassion for these, too many things to describe them, but for now, I’ll just say wonderful guests that you have. I am truly thankful that you, along with some other wonderful sanctuaries, are helping to keep “our” relatives safe and loved and cared for.
My question is, does Willie B have ropes and climbing things for him to practice on, and get stronger at climbing? I adore them all, and you for all that you do.
I have been wondering if he tells his gal pals about his food treasures he has found& eaten or does he keep that all to himself?if I was a chimp I would want to be determined& a problem solver over being agile.i am so excited for you Willy B.when I watch These videos can you hear me yelling-You can do it, Willy B?!!!!
What a guy!!! He’s fast becoming one of my favs (but truth told, they all are) Thanks for the beautiful video!! Love and hugs to you all….
