The after after party

After the chimpanzees’ exciting day of Easter foraging on Young’s Hill, and Jamie’s late night of walking with her caregivers until nearly dark while simultaneously doing a solo after party forage, they’ve all been relatively restful today. It’s even warmer so most have been toasting themselves in the super warm greenhouse in between taking breaks in the playroom to cool off.

I have to wonder if our “Californian” three, Mave, Honey B, and Willy B, are thinking, “Finally! Some weather we can get behind!” They’ve spent much of the day in their outdoor chute, chatting with the rowdy neighbors through the windows, and enjoying the sun, which is even hotter on that side of the building. But even the Californians have been hunkering down in the shade.

William, in all his floofy gloriousness:

Yesterday was so exciting, I loved the Facebook live Easter “egg” hunt on the hill, it was almost like being there !
So today is a good day to relax and enjoy the weather 🙂
    Thanks for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed that, CeeCee! It’s always one of the happiest of the chimps’ celebrations I think. Spring fever in us and all. 🙂

A great party can really take it out of you, nice to know everyone relaxed and recuperated today. Is it me or does Willy “William” B look even more handsome these days? Must be the warmer weather. ; )

    Hi

Thank you so much for giving the chimps a wonderful life. I was a volunteer at WW for over 25 years, and did enrichment for all the chimps, they are wonderful creatures, so smart and fun to be around. I was also one of Sharuis babt sitters, who slept over with her, not sure where she went, but she was a sweet baby.

I also worked and enriched the small primates, some we took on walks.

Many years ago we had an orangutan named LOAL (lump on a log) who was also very sweet

Take care and keep giving these amazing chimps a wonderful life.

    Thanks for all you do.

    Regards
    May Finlayson
