A very windy day

Today was so windy it could, quite literally, push your car off the road. However, wind means spring is coming to Cle Elum! I personally can’t wait, but Burrito is going to have a hard time not having snow delivered to him every morning. We don’t know what will happen when the snow runs out, but I’m sure the chimps will be as happy as the caretakers when the sunny days arrive.

Such a handsome boy !
I wonder if it has to do with all his medical issues/ healing issues that made snow so great for him this year. Maybe some sort of shaved ice machine would be a good investment.

What a portrait!
I was going to say “3 words: snow cone machine”, but CeeCee beat me to it.
When I first happened across Burrito through the means of a Youtube video, he was playful and laughing. I was immediately smitten. Three years later, he looks thinner, and older, and his bearing in these photographs seems to evoke the sense (on this extra day on the calendar) that he feels the weight of the passage of time. Whether in levity or solemnity, Burrito is still beautiful and endearing, and I am one of many supporters of his sanctuary who love him very much, regardless of his demeanor or age. His very existence is a precious gift.
