The Blanket Shredder!

Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest has always had an abundant amount of blankets for almost twelve years. Suddenly, we have become low on blankets. This has never happened in CSNW history! The blankets just started becoming smaller or ripped into pieces. Now, I don’t want to name names, but Jody has decided to alter her blankets, as well as a few other people. This is where we need your help! We have add blankets on our Amazon Wishlist. I have collected some photos of the chimps lounging in nests of warm and cozy blankets!

We don’t have many photos of Mave, Willy B, or Honey B in nest yet! But, they also love nesting! Especially, Honey B, she makes very big nests.

Oh….So relaxed & snuggly… making me think about Sunday mornings when it was cosy & quiet…Watching all the deer & squirrels & hearing the early calls of wild turkeys & the crows in the back yard at my parent’s old farmhouse deep in the country…Steaming coffee brewing, the sun is rising, & everyone’s deep in their own thoughts…Such gorgeous photographs…I’m wondering how the chimp people sleep…It must be such a satisfying pleasure to witness…I wonder what’s on their minds as the lights go out, & they begin the ritual of building their nighttime nests…
Grammy Neggie…You look particularly endearing with that winsome look on your face with the one ear peeking out from the “mantilla” blanket you have wrapped around your head…You are royal looking…
Oh, for heaven’s sake…How I wish there were an edit button in the comment section….HaHa
Ha! In spite of hearing “we have enough for now” I sent Neggie a sherpa last year when they were on sale! Hope she likes it! May try to get some fleece going over break, something I just saw at a friend’s place, no machine required, and they might last a tad longer.
Lol, Jo’s blanket -gathering face looks as triumphant as her foraging face! Like the blankets she’s got are all the best ones!

anything specific we should know about the fleece blankies? size, density, etc.?

Do the blankets need to be from Amazon?
I could start a mini blanket drive through my local friends and family.
We asked for them off Amazon just so we don’t get so many blanket we can’t store them. It actually looks like everyone purchased the blankets we put on the wishlist! We may have to ask for more, but for now we might be okay! Don’t worry it’s almost Christmas time and there will be other exciting things we need! 🙂
