Missy had a tomato-filled birthday yesterday! Watch the video (with Jody pop-ups) to see Missy enjoying her day.
The three new chimpanzees continue to charm us all. We’ll be sharing more stories about them in the days, weeks, months, and years to come. We’re so very grateful to have had this opportunity to get to know them and to have cared for Missy and her six friends for the last eleven years. Each of these chimpanzees is so very unique and special, and it’s a joy to see them discover themselves at the sanctuary.

A beautiful day to be outside, and tomatoes everywhere! What more could a girl named Missy wish for?!
Especially with all of those stumps, where a nervous girl can get out of the long grass, enjoy her forage without fear of snakes, and at the same time, scan the ground for more tomatoes!

Love the identifying pop ups. I am amazed at how calm they are as they wait their turn for the onions. No pushing each other aside, no tantrums to be the next etc. Great Video.

It is a true joy to hear how well they get along and established in transition.
They are such beautiful animals and so interactive with life. Love it all.
