Today’s day of sanctuary was sponsored by “The parents of Jake, aka wheelbarrow boy,” for Carolyn Ouellette: “A Real Animal Lover, A Great Role Model & A Stellar Friend!”

To the parents of Jake, thank you so much for thinking of the chimps in honoring Carolyn and making a difference in the days of them all!

Carolyn, I can’t imagine this won’t bring a smile to your face this morning. We hope you enjoy your day and thank you for being such a bright light in the world and sharing that with the chimpanzees.

The photo of the sunflowers if spectacular – just beautiful !! Do the chimps have a view of the sunflowers?
Beautiful photos of the lovely Cle Elum 7 too! Thank you 😀 <3

      Hi Donna,

They do! They can see them from the playroom windows that face their garden. The ones Missy is always asking us to open so we can pick a garden treat for her. 😉

That is a beautiful photograph of Jody; the eyes are truly the doorway into the soul. And I have always loved that picture of Burrito: on this St. Francis Day, I look at Burrito’s upward gaze and am reminded of Dylan’s line and how it applies to the residents of the Cle Elum sanctuary, “For before the sky, there are no fences facing…”

The photo of Annie with her faced raised to the sun is so beautiful! How many times have we done that in those first warming rays of spring? Maybe she should be called Sunflower Annie as they also follow the sun with their flower faces. 🙂
