We’ve been asked how the chimpanzees keep their nails short. For most of them, it’s the result of normal wear and tear, but Jamie has her own technique.

That’s too funny!!
She is so nonchalant. I have to ask, did any of the caregivers show Jamie how to do this or did you ever file her nails through the caging? Jamie is so amazing, full of delightful surprises — this was hysterical!
As far as I know, no one here showed her how to use a nail file. She probably picked it up during her time living in a human home as a kid.
She is something else !!!!
Also, I still think her love of the cowboy boots has something to do with a positive memory of her childhood…..she loved and or bonded with someone who wore cowboy boots…..
