She is so sweet…. I hope she doesn’t think about the bad experiences of her past…..
She is exquisite, so pensive and calm. So glad she is coming into her own!

She is very beautiful. I am so proud of Annie, she’s an inspiration.
Which Chimp do most of the caretakers think is the sweetest, most loveable, gentlest? Or is that like asking a mother which of your children do you love the most?????

I think we might all agree that Annie is near the top of the list for being sweet, but even she has her fiery moments. As for gentle, that’s definitely a tough one to answer. All the chimpanzees are extremely strong and they are driven by their emotions. Because of their strength and unpredictability, we never enter their enclosures with them. I think the word “gentle” might not exactly apply to any of them. This is not to say they don’t have amazingly sweet moments with each other and caregivers, but we definitely practice very careful types of contact and serving techniques from the other side of the caging.

I have to say that Miss Annie is an absolute little BEAUTY ~
She definitely has the most BEAUTIFUL face XX of all the chimps-
her kind and caring disposition is such a compliment to dynamics of all 7 chimps –
I have several pics and thank you cards framed and sitting on my desk and on my wall of Chimps in my hallway ! Love U – Miss Annie- , actually , I love them all – EACH and EVERY one for their own unique and individual personality’s, – Getting to watch and know Annie in the past 6 yrs has been incredible,
Her confidence and self assurance has totally developed – Her life of Sanctuary has totaly halped her to heal , grow, and THRIVE- with her BFF Missy –
