   I would think that it is hard to get any work done…. I can’t think of a better way to spend the day than watching the chimps!

     The game wouldn’t last long if he pulled with all his strength. But sometimes they decide they want to start pulling for real, and that’s when we have to be prepared to let go, otherwise they’d pull us right into the caging!

   I like how he kept his toy in his mouth until something became more important and it popped out of his mouth too they are so quiet except for that very low breathing noise.

     Thanks Humphrey! Our staff and volunteers keep the laundry going eight hours a day, seven days a week.

   Yes, that’s what I want to know…how do you get any work done? 🙂 I asked awhile back about a water feature or pond, etc. out on the hill…do you think they would like something like that…something to splash around in on a hot day? I know chimps arn’t fond of being fully submerged but do you think they might enjoy a small pond or a recirculating water feature?

     Hi Chris – The chimps might enjoy a water feature and it would be relatively safe if it were very shallow. But the cost and the difficulty involved in creating one on such a steep slope makes me lean towards spending money on other types of enrichment for them.

   If I am having a bad day, I just play a chimp video and it puts a smile on my face!
