Missy up close and personal

I am rarely able to get photos of Missy. There are two reasons for this. First, as the resident CSNW athlete, she’s rarely sitting still. Second, she’s camera shy. When she sees me coming near her with a camera, she either leaves the premises or turns her back. So I was pretty excited today when she let me get some close-ups of her during a grooming session with Burrito.

What a pretty Missy, she has that same freckled chin ,upper lip area
    (obicularis oris,buccinater,masseter,zygomaticus)
    as Burritto does.
I often recognize or spot B,immediately due to the freckled areas,
Missy looks so beautiful and serene in these pics..
I seldom see her being still.

When I see pictures like this and hear about how they react to things, it makes it really difficult every time I hear someone say, “just an animal”. It would better be said about us.

Gorgeous photos. 🙂 I always love seeing their faces up close. It’s really amazing just how unique each of them are. It’s very difficult not to see something human in there. The fact that we share ancestors with them is very clear.

I know it’s off topic, but I often find myself wondering what their species would be like had they became the dominant species on Earth instead of us. I do write some science fiction stuff, and had it mind to write something along those lines. You guys have any possible theories?

    🙂

What a great question. Unfortunately, I couldn’t begin to answer it. 🙂 It’s fascinating to speculate, though!
