Today we did a big lunch forage on Young’s Hill. It was fairly windy, so Negra decided to enjoy her lunch in the greenhouse, but the rest of the crew went out and thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

Jamie’s food squeaks were out of this world!

Missy came running over to reassure Jamie during all the excitement

And Jamie kissed her back

After everyone had collected all the most exciting stuff (bell peppers, oranges, lettuce, onions), Missy went back and collected a ton of celery!

Jackie, thanks for these photos–what a hoot!!! Must have been a lot of squeaks, pants and hoots out there. Hope Negra enjoyed hers, as well as Annie and Jody. I’m still smiling over Burrito’s excitement on Sunday while foraging all those carrots.

I always marvel at just how well all these chimps get along. It’s ALWAYS wonderful, and heartwarming, to see just how well they are looked after. So wonderful that Negra has the choice to go outside, or remain in the playhouse, or greenhouse, and do as Negra CHOOSES to do for herself. Freedom of Choice is what it’s all about. Thank You, CSNW,

How great it is to see them out in the field foraging for their own food, just like they would do in the wild. (With a lot less danger though.)
