Success and fun

Total raised through the Seattle Out of the Box auction = $125,991, including the $5,000 that Kathy Cochran donated from a distance that kicked off the fund-a-need for the medical clinic and the $20,000 from the Youngs that was matched by the audience last night. What other word can I use but WOW?!

And the online auction is still going! New items were added this morning.

What an amazing evening. So much fun, such good people. Thank you to all the supporters for helping, once again, in making the lives of the “7” better each day. I’m so excited to see the plans and watch them come together.

How far does this amount go toward building the medical facility you need? So happy you did so well! I wish I could have been there.

Let me just add that I’m really proud of my sister Pam who worked so hard on this event. When she believes in a cause, there’s no stopping her!

All of you there deserve the accolades now; get some rest and then start bringing that medical clinic to fruition. Congratulations!

I would like to extend a personal thank you to the Young’s who have been so very very generous in giving the chimps a better life at CSNW. I would be interested in knowing how they came to be involved in CSNW. Over and over I see their generosity and it’s makes ones heart smile knowing there are such giving people out there doing the right thing.

Thank you, Jeani… But I would also like to add a big thank you to all the committee chairs who procured such great items, Felicity for her hours and hours of work creating those clever and eye-catching Silent Auction boards, Stephanie for designing and making those adorable hats that made the photo booth such a hit, and a huge shout out to Connie who did such a fantastic job of recruiting and organizing all the wonderful event volunteers. Thank you all for helping to make this event such a success for the chimps!

Wow, I guess I owe Rita Laws a beer. She bet 102K, and I bet 92K. Losing never felt better!!! Congrats to all on a spectacular night! Sarah was right, you have heart and that makes all the difference for the chimps.

Yes, it was a fabulous evening! So much fun and also rewarding. Thanks Diana, Pam and Connie for being our fearless and tireless leaders – you 3 are all so awesome. And Dr. Mel as emcee was an excellent choice – it is obvious he knows and loves the CE7. And you gotta love that southern accent…
