Sunflowers

It’s that time of year again! It’s been a pretty cloudy, raining day here at the sanctuary, so I gave the chimps a little something from the garden to brighten up the day. The chimps really seem to enjoy picking all the petals off and then munching on the seeds. Burrito and Foxie weren’t too into it, but everyone else was pretty excited. I wasn’t able to get a good picture of Jody because she quickly took hers inside to munch on in her nest- smart woman!

Jackie, great photos, I love all the pictures you all take, my favorite today is Annie’s. You didn’t even have to put Negra’s name on her photo, the blanket over the head gave it away. I couldn’t help wonder if Missy’s last petal was “he loves me” or “he loves me not.”

These pictures are great, but I especially LOVE that Annie picture!

Thanks, Jackie, their reactions are so sweet. I love sunflowers, too, and they are especially cheery on a cloudy, rainy day.

Love the shot of Neggie under her blankie. Where’s my B boy?

That shot of Annie is perfect! She seems to be smiling for the camera. You should put that on a greeting card that says “Have a Sunny Day”

And the one of Negra could be a get well card: “Hope you’re feeling sunnier soon.”

Really. I would buy a pack of greeting cards featuring cool and funny photos of the 7.

This is such a lovely picture. You’ve really captured the joy in her face. So touching.
