Last week was the first time any of us had seen Foxie build a true nest. Today, I witnessed her doing it again and snapped a couple of photos. I’m so proud of how far she’s come.

Beautiful photos! She looks so content and peaceful. Dang it, Foxie and her nesting brought tears to my eyes again! I feel really honored to see this and am so thrilled for her continued growth.

Foxie’s building nests, Annie’s blossoming and Burrito is being the goofball he was meant to be. Living well is truly the best revenge.

Not to be redundant, but she does look incredibly happy. Ecstatic to see it is a new behavior and not a one time deal. Love you Fox!!!

Here comes another redundant comment : ) Foxie really does look incredibly happy, especially in the first picture. As Amy M. said, Annie is blossoming, Burrito is goofy (and so handsome). You are all doing terrific work at the sanctuary. Thank you so much.

She looks very content in that last photo.

LOL – to me, the look on her face in that last photo is something like, “Well, gosh! These blankets are soooo comfy! Who knew?!”

I am gonna cry as I type this but 2 years ago when I started searching about chimps when Travis attacked Charla Nash. I cried at the photos I would see of captured chimps , you feel their sadness in their eyes But here at the sanctuary, these guys are so happy. You look in their eyes you see happiness not sadness and loneliness. The pictures of Foxie are just awesome, she is happy, content and seems to not have a care in the world. They deserve to be this way. They suffered years for the name of research and now they live a great life. I am so thankful for all of you that work with these 7 and they have all come a long way with the love and nurturing they get from everyone there. These are tears of happiness. All I wish was that I could lay with them in their nest but I know that is not possible to give them great big hug. They are wonderful creations of God and they are being treated the way they should be with respect and dignity. God bless all of you.
