I call this position of Jody’s, FUTAB moment, “feet up in the air and taking a break.”

    aaahh, Jody, aka: Jo-Jo,

What I love about Jody is she can be so relaxed in her environment, any time a individual lies on their back and totally exposes themselves they have to have confidence that nothing is going to harm them. I love that Jo-Jo will great you with what I call a “butt bump” (very unscientific name) but she will just stand on all fours and bounce her butt up and down. I love how she will give you a kiss through the caging (not often but when she wants). I love that Jo-Jo has the longest lips known to the CE7 and they can protrude about 3 inches through the caging. I love that she will cup her bottom lip through the caging and make this beautiful cup to pour smoothie into (I swear she can hold a cup or more of liquid in that bottom lip). I love that she enjoys getting Burrito riled up, she will pant hoot with her head low and moving slowly towards him just to get him all excited and then sit back and watch him display. I love the Jo-Jo can spit farther than any of the other CE7 and I think she can hold more in her mouth than the others. I love how Jo-Jo likes to try and poke you while you are serving a meal. She is very methodical about this poking and moves very slow, I think it’s more a game than anything. I love that Jo-Jo often lays down while a meal is being served. I love how Jo-Jo loves to just lounge around and relax. I love that Jody is a proficient nest maker. I love that she doesn’t mind having her picture taken. I love that she wants everyone to come in for a meal before the doors are closed. I love Jody………..

Denice….thank you, once again, for your beautiful description of one of our beloved chimps! I think I speak for all bloggers when I say that we appreciate you sharing your insight and first-hand knowleged of them. Your words give me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside and make me happy that these few have found CSNW as their sanctuary.

Forgot to mention that I’m looking forward to being there for her birthday on May 9th! My daughter, Sarah, and I are cooking up some yummy vegan chocolate cupcakes stuffed with strawberries!! I can’t wait to see her (and the rest of the seven) enjoy the treat!!

Ah yes, strech all you want. Do it for you and all other chimps who endured living in a stinken crappy cage for years. You deserve it. It’s such a simple thing but think about it, they were not able to do this before. It must be so gratifying for all of who worked hard to rescue them and provide them this beautiful life. Thank you 🙂

Those are the greatest pictures. Thanks for making me smile and thanks for the wonderful work you do in providing such quality care for the chimpanzees.
