Another great greenhouse day. The ladies groomed and played out there all day, switching partners frequently.

It’s been said before, but each day I am amazed at how the greenhouse has transformed the Cle Elum Seven’s lives. Thank you again to Karen and Don Young and all who made the greenhouse possible!

Love these photos. Everyone looks so content and happy. How about Burrito?? Does he not join the ladies???

Burrito has been really hesitant to come out into the greenhouse for more than a minute. It’s difficult to say why. He’s not a very brave guy and new things/spaces seem to put him on edge. Even though the greenhouse is the same outdoor area he should be used to, it seems to be a new experience for him. We began serious efforts to encourage him and help him feel like the greenhouse is a great place a few weeks ago, and it seems to be working. Today he came out without a food incentive. He didn’t hang out for hours like the ladies, but he was calm and was out for several minutes. Then he went out again before dinner. Just this step is huge.

Oh my gosh! All of these photos are absolutely beyond stunning. Negra’s face gets me every time, and I have definitely developed quite a soft spot for Ms. Missy lately, as well. What a beautiful interchange between the two of them. Great camera work!

I will be channeling positive, Zen, greenhouse-loving vibes Burrito’s way in the hopes that he improves. It sounds like you guys are doing an awesome job with him, so far.

Such sweet pictures! The gentle play between Missy and Negra is so cute – it’s nice to see how Missy draws Negra out, and that Negra is in an emotional space to respond with such easy, quiet joy.

Along with whatever temperature increase comes with solar gain in the greenhouse, the lack of ~winter wind~ is such a huge gift to them!

Anna – you are so right. It makes a huge difference to be protected from the Cle Elum wind!

These are the most beautiful photos of the Seven ever! I am thinking about Karen and Don Young and also the auction last October where we were rasing the money for the greenhouse. I admit at the time I didn’t quite understand exactly what this project was going to be like but trusted J.B. that it would be a good thing. Wow, was that fund raising effort worth it! This positive change in our friends’ lives is clearly so wondeful for them.

Oh, Diana, thank you for this set of photos. What a wonderful story they tell. And what a joy to see how the last year and a half of love, good food, sunshine, and loving, caring caregivers has made such a difference. OK Burrito, you are next. It is your turn to come out of your shell for more than a few minutes. Oh what he must have gone through to have such mistrust. It breaks my heart.
