Missy and her raisin board

We included raisin boards in this morning’s enrichment, and Missy demonstrated a new technique for fishing the raisins out (at least one that I haven’t seen before). Rather than trying to pry the raisins out or poke them out the other side, she would insert the chopstick and push it all the way through, like she was sewing with a big needle. It seemed to work well, except for when her tool would get stuck, in which case she would just break it off and start over with a smaller stick.

I love the way she chews off a “stick” from another raisin board. I think I saw Missy do this technique in another recent video. As I remember the video was not primarily about her but she was on the side using this technique. I think it was the video on Jamie’s birthday.
No it wasn’t Jamie’s birthday video. I must have dreamt it!
We gave them raisin boards on Oct. 27th, the day of the construction and Diana posted a picture of Missy with one on the blog “Workin Workin”. It looks like she’s doing it there as well. 🙂
