I had no idea the upper level was so big and what a great shot of the play room below. What were they given to drink? It was interesting when Jamie broke open the pinata, instead of going for the food that fell out, she kept digging through it to find out what else was in there.
While they were watching the set-up they were eagerly waiting to be let into the room, reminded me of going to Six Flags and seeing it in the background and wanting to hurry up and get there.
Great food grunts, gotta love it.
How fun! I loved how Jamie figured out the pinata. I would have love to have seen how they broke into the cat. Were the pinatas filled with nuts? They were so excited!
What fun for the CE7! I love watching them with enrichment and the excited vocalizations. Chimp chatter is music to my ears.
I ask this because I really don’t know – why is Jamie’s bottom so swollen? I thought all the females were unable to breed? I do so enjoy keeping up with the 7 Hairy children,they are so like kids, in that they enjoy exploring everything and tasting everything.

Burrito has had a vasectomy. I don’t think the females have had any contraception at CSNW.
At Chimp Eden in South Africa, the females are on contraception as the goal is to someday release those chimps back into the wild and have babies.
I too found it interesting to see the playroom as the chimps see it!

MS is correct – Jamie is still physically able to breed, but our only male, Burrito, has had a vasectomy.
