Always playful

There was a short break in the gloomy weather today, so Foxie made sure we got in a good game of pass-the-troll outside. Even though she’s in her 30’s, she has the spirit and energy of a little kid. The last photo captures the look she gives just before she does some crazy twirl or flip.

Against all odds, Foxie is a sweet, sweet happy girl, amazing. As humans, we can learn a lot from chimpanzees and CSNW gives us the opportunity to do just that, thank you.

Great pictures of Foxie, especially the last one. I see her playfulness and sweetness and think what a good momma she would have been.

Those eyes, words can’t describe what’s in them but they sure reach out from the screen with such playful happiness. IT’s been a really gloomy day over here and Foxie’s smile is a great ray of missing sunlight!!!

I know the chimps aren’t here for our pleasure, or to ascribe human characteristics – – – – but I think of all the chimps, Foxie has the prettiest face.

Oh our Foxie! Always up for the moment.

That last picture of Foxie brings tears to my eyes…..what a happy, settled chimp after all those years of captivity and abuse. Still, she’s in captivity but her life has so much more than she could ever have imagined. Thank you, CSNW, for your work in making the lives of these chimps happier than what they have known!

Now that is one happy chimp! I love seeing their bright, sparkling eyes and the happiness shining in them. It’s a bittersweet emotion that makes me think of all the other chimps still in labs that have dull eyes and are confined to small cages. Project R&R is gaining support daily and I look forward to the day that all chimps are free in a sanctuary to heal the way the Cle Elum Seven have. I will never stop campaigning for those chimps to have their freedom too. They deserve the life Foxie and her friends have!

    Me too, Theresa. Me too!

Oh Theresa, I so agree!! What a happy day it will be when we can celebrate all the chimps getting to laugh, play, swing, and be with others to enjoy what they deserve. Foxie, you keep us motivated with your wonderful antics. Those eyes say it all!
