Games of tug of war happen pretty frequently between humans and chimps here at CSNW (any guesses as to who always wins?), but extended bouts of chimpanzee-chimpanzee tug of war are less common.

Neither one of those girls were going to let go were they. I kept waiting for Jamie to let go suddenly and Foxie would fall back into the outside area.

Foxie is none the worse for wear after her birthday bash!

I love watching the chimps play! I thought one would let go too, I just couldn’t decide which one. Both fooled me…LOL.

Well now I see that there are some trolls tied onto that rope! No wonder Foxie wouldn’t let go….even for Jamie!

What I like is that as opposed to human games of tug of war, there’s plenty of time to sit and look around, see what else is happening, think about stuff, etc.
