Missy and Negra play

The warm weather has put everyone here in good moods. Even Negra is feeling playful. Those of you who follow the blog faithfully know that Negra covets peace and quiet, and would typically prefer to chill out under a blanket than to join the other chimps’ rambunctious play. Yesterday, however, Missy was able to ease Negra into some gentle play by dialing down the energy a few notches. Negra even got to keep her blanket.

Love how Negra is playing blind under her blanket. Especially when she grabs Missy’s foot!

How fun to watch Negra play with Missy. Bless Missy’s heart for knowing how to play with Negra and get her involved. It is always a joy to see the others interact with Negra and how patient they are with her. Hmmmmmmm…do you think we could take lessons?!? 🙂
Thanks for the, as always, wonderful video Elizabeth.

I love this!! The gentleness that Missy uses to play shows she understands Negra’s personality. I wish humans could be so perceptive. Watching Negra play is a wonderful treat. Thanks for sharing this!

Love seeing Negra find a way to play…and the sneaky hand coming out from under the blanket. Such a sweet display of wanting to be connected, but find her comfort terms. Thank you Missy!
